I'm looking for the best practices of moving OWA off from an Exchange 5.5 server(WinNT 4.0) onto a dedicated IIS server(Win2000). Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing special, run the setup (svrmax.exe)from the Exchange server CD on the options choose only Outlook for Web Access and go ahead.

Before installation, just ensure that you are able to ping from the command prompt the Exchange server by Name (not just IP) like ping servername.

Also checkout the Microsoft technet article # Q234805 Explaining much more in detail.

You can have more than one OWA server connected to the same exchange server, so you don't to uninstall the existing one.

Good luck.
