When I try to place or convert autocad drawing into illustrator the result is blurry. I have tried to increase the dpi but that does not seem to work. Is this a solvable problem?

An AutoCAD drawing is vector-based. There should be no blurriness (maybe there is an OLE problem here). I have never placed a DWG file in Illustrator before. I always open a DWG file directly into IL. Try FILE>OPEN to get the DWG file into Illustrator - - then copy and paste into the document you are trying to place it into.
