Hello

When I place an image in InDesign using the place command. ID automatically creates a frame and places the graphic in the frame.

So far so good.

When I check the size of the image and frame they are both the same size and set to 100%.

So far so good.

Now the problem:

When I print the file the "placed" graphic is getting a division line. By division line I mean that a single column of pixels is either being truncated or duplicated.

This creates a division line of sorts ( looks like the is made from 2 halves that don't quite line up. Big problem: Clients are rejecting jobs and pulling them off press.

If I place the image direct then select the frame and enlarge it by dragging one of the corners then the problem goes away. But.... if I try to enlarge the frame in the menu then the image scales resulting in even more interpolation problems.

Does anyone else know of this problem and any solutions.

I suggest yout create a frame first, then place your graphic in it, then click the 'fit frame to content' button.
