Help! I'm working on a table heavy InDesign document. I'm placing formatted excel files in InDesign. When I they come into InDesign, some of the formatting stays, but the column widths are never quite right. For example, the column width in Excel are 3", but when placed in InDesign, they are 2.5". Any ideas??

It depand on the size of the text box you are placing into...
There is an extension from Teacup software, which will let you create
Table styles and Cell Styles so that it is just like applying Object styles.
It very nearly formats itself...
