placing a PDF in PM7

I'm having a problem placing certain PDF files in a PM document.
Some of our publishers emailed us quite a few PDF's that we need to place in a document. The first ones worked fine (they were single page PDF's), but when we got to the multiple page PDF's, PM gives the error "Cannot Place This File - PDF Filter Error - Generic Failure - 8601:30225"

I tried extracting the individual pages in Acrobat 7 and then placing them individually, but the same error occurs.

It's works with some, but not with others. What gives?

Make sure your PDFs are Ver 1.4 or earlier by opening then in Acrobat and using File -> Reduce File Size to save them as compatible with Acrobat 5.
