How do I control the placement of the pagefooter in a report ?
When the report executes the pagefooter starts higher than I want, and I could not find any property to get it lower on the page. BottomMargin seems not to work.
Hi,
the height that the page footer starts at is a combination of the bottom margin and the ammount of space in the page footer of the report. If you open the report in design view the section labelled page footer shows how much of the page will be taken up by the report footer.
If after the fields and labels you have a lot of empty white space then move the bottom of the report up. Do this by moving the cursor over the end of the report where it will change into an up and down arrow, then holding the left mouse button down drag the botton up as far as you want.
Basically any of the white in design view is empty space on the report that you are effectively saying you want. The grey around the report design is only shown on the final report as empty space if ther isn't enough report to fill the page.

Thanks for this extensive answer. My problem did not occur on a laser printer. In that situation I changed the bottom margin. It seems not to work for a matrix printer (used because of the use preprinted paper).
