When placing an rtf created from Fine Reader (OCR), the images contained within the rtf end up as embedded images. BUT, the link list shows them 1) with .tif falenames 2) in an empty directory. The images are actually jpeg's. After unembedding, and attempting to edit them, of course, Photoshop complains when asked to open these misnamed images, so the "recovery" process is to rename them as .jpg, open in Photoshop, and save as TIFFs.

Is there a work around? Am I missing something obvious?
