Using Windows Quark 5.0 to distill pdfs via the print menu.
I have placed eps files (logos from Adobe Illustrator)into the Quark doc.
Some people have trouble opening the resulting .pdf with Reader 5.0.
They get this error:
There was a problem reading this document. (12)
They can click on the error and then proceed to see the document. But this error causes much confusion, as well as wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Some people have no trouble at all.
The problem is resolved if you replace the eps files with Tiffs, but this is an enormous pain because the Quark files are eventually on their way to a commercial printer.
Any suggestions? I'm pulling out my hair!
