Place Text and Graphics in the same frame

How can I place text and graphics in the same frame in InDesing CS2. The steps that I have take are:

Made the Graphic transparent and tried using the Send to Front and Back options.

You cannot place both text and graphics in the same frame unless the graphic is 'inline' with the text. To place an inline element, place the text cursor within the story where you want to place the image. More info can be found in 'help' under the topic or keyword 'inline'.

...select the image and the text, group them together, copy, select the frame you want to put them into and choose 'paste into' from the edit menu...

...you can place groups of text boxes and separate images into cuctom shapes and still be editable as seperate elements using the selection tools (black and white arrows in the tool bar) and the text tool etc, etc...
