place pdf pm6.5

well ..
I ran into a problem as most of us here.
I wanted to place a pdf file, but my pagemaker dosn't understand what i want..
I updated to 6.52 and even downloaded the update for pdf-s. but the updater was just for win 95 and nt 4.0, but my os is win 98.. and it will not work (as asumed).

any suggestions?

Hi, a67,

PM6.5 won't accept the the latest versions of PDF. You will need Acrobat to save the PDF back to ver 1.2 or 1.3. PM6.5 will then accept it.

what message are you getting? I know the one thing I had to remember when I started placing pdf files into pagemaker was to close the pdf file in writer or reader before I placed it into page maker. If I placed a file into pagemaker when it was open all that would show on the screen is a blank. nolines, graphics or notices.

could this be the problem??
