pkgadd for AIX5.2

Hello,

i have been asked to install the pkgadd command onto one of our AIX5.2 servers. Can this be done?

If so where does one find this?

do you happen to know what the package is called?

i believe it to be bos.svpkg but this does not appear to be installed!

Starting with AIX 5.1 we have the System V install commands such as pkgadd and pkginfo. The AIX 5 Differences Guide and Redbook provide more details. The same capability is not included in AIX 4.3.3 unless the user installs it through the Linux Affinity software.
