Hello Experts:

I want to get noticed when one input tray is empty, I used PJL status-readback and the manual says that there should be some information retured from printer. I wrote:
%-12345X@PJL
@PJL comment "status test"
@PJL ECHO status test
@PJL USTATUS DEVICE = VERBOSE
%-12345X
However I didn't get any response from the printer, or maybe it gave response but I don't know where it is.
Please help.

Thanks
Peixin

You have to open a channel on which to read the reply. I've never done this, so I can't advise on exactly how to code this.

Instead of doing it yourself, you could obtain the HP Status Readback Tool (go to (if not already a member, join (free) as an Affiliate) and download the tool from them.
