Please can someone direct me to a step by step configuration guide on how to setup PIX to PIX vpn using des/3des, cisco.com version seems not to do anything!

Thanks,

Cisco version has all of the command and gives config examples. I also recommend the cisco press book cisco secure PIX firewalls however that does not get any deeper than standard cisco docs. Im assuming the cisco doc your referring to is this one
Good luck

I have gone through those docs, online and hardcopy, i have also use the PIXSCRIPT tool, however i just cant seem to create a tunnel between my two PIX's.

Please HELP! i am desperate :)

Thanks for any help given.

HI.

Can each pix ping the other?
Is there a NAT/Filter router in the way?
Check if ISP at any side is blocking ESP.
What OS version at each side?
Post here relevant config...

Do you get any syslog errors?

Checkout this document - ignore the checkpoint stuff but go down to the debug output and debug commands to use at the pix, which should be similar in a pix to pix situation:

And try looking here also:
