Dear all,

Can someone give me some hints?

Setup:
-ADSL subscription with 1 official IP address
-Connected to an 826 router, configured for Bridging (no ip route)
-To the Eth of the router, there is a PIX connected.

I need the official IP Address on the PIX (for IPSec)

How can I configure the pix with PPPoE and a fix IP address instead of dhcp?

'ip address outside pppoe setroute' is used for dhcp
'ip address outside 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.252' is used for fix ip

Does anyone did a config like this? Please advise me.

Thanks in advanced,

Regards

Dirk

the following lines should work for you.

ip address outside 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.252

That will configure the outside interface with the IP that your ISP gave you. The rest is just the normal VPDN setup for PPPoE.

That should work fine for you.

You still need pppoe at the end of the command:

ip address outside 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.252 pppoe

Hope this helps!
