Any suggestions on a customizable log pasrser that would give good details fast for a PIX?

Right now I just use MS Access and it is a pain to make reports and all so time consuming.

Is there a package that can show detail in graphs like web monitoring that can use the log?

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

You can use a KIWI syslog utility and use microsoft SQL on the backend to log events. Create some asp pages to make the display a little more readable.

Or, if you have a SQL 2000 box, get MS SQL Reporting Services. It's free as long as you use the SQL box as the report server. You'd also need Visual Studio .NET to create the reports.

Otherwise, evildik is spot on in idea. You can also use MySQL and a php page, or Oracle with CGI, or lots of combinations of data sources and report generation... (Crystal, OnDemand, Impromtu, etc.)

check out rnrsoft RnRreport gen for PIX, in conjuction with kiwisyslog
(this only for win32 platforms)
or you need the more highend, like network intelligence engine

RnR_ReportGen is very close to what I want.

Great tip!
