hello all. I have a problem, I'm programming a pix 501 firewall and only have 1 external address. I configured the external address on the outside interface. My problem is when I want to NAT, I need to specify a range of external addresses. When I enter the following command:

PIXFW(config)# global (outside) 1 64.X.X.2

I get the following error:

Start and end addresses overlap with outside interface address
Usage: [no] global [(<ext_if_name>)] <nat_id> {<global_ip>[-<global_ip>] [netma
sk <global_mask>]} | interface

any advised... thanks in advance

global (outside) 1 interface

It is what it is!!

After I entered that command I got the following:

PIXFW(config)# global (outside) 1 interface
Warning: Start and End addresses overlap with broadcast address.
outside interface address added to PAT pool

Is this ok?

By the way thanks
