I'm replacing my single PIX 520 with a failover arrangement with 2 PIX 520's.
In my present config (1 PIX) I use the address of the inside interface (192.168.1.4) as my default gateway address on the DHCP server for the LAN workstations.
In the Cisco COnfiguration examples, I'm told to assign separate addresses to each interface. I'm planning on using 192.168.1.4 and 192.168.1.2 as the inside interface addresses.
When failover occurs, will the workstations need a new default gateway address? (192.168.1.2) Or will the PIX "alias" .2 --> .4 ?
TIA...
