As some of you may know I recently inherited a FUBAR'd network and I've been working overtime (literally and figuratively) to get things fixed.

Currently their 2600 router does NAT and they just bought a PIX506e so I'm wondering if it'd be better to remove NAT from the router and let the PIX handle the NAT side of things now. Maybe it really just doesn't matter.

TIA,

FredUG

It depends on the network topoligy, and what netblocks you have.

It's a small lan with a /27 subnet (32 IP's) and 4 remote users that use Terminal Services for access. Nothing big.

Yes, take NAT off the router, make it a standard router.. Do NAT at the pix level..
