I have just installed my PIX 506e and works just fine. I am having issue sending emails to people that have 'Blackberry' devices. We have several in our company and everything worked fine until I put in the PIX(may be coincidence). The blackberry's can receive emails if I send them from accounts OUTSIDE of my company. Is there some issue with the PIX? I have the NO FIXUP SMTP enabled. The error I am getting is

user@nextel.blackberry.net' on 4/6/2004 10:17 AM
The destination server for this recipient could not be found in Domain Name Service (DNS). Please verify the email address and retry. If that fails, contact your administrator.

Is there something in the pix config that could be limiting the DNS?

Are you using Blackberry Enterprise Server software? Make sure that you are allowing the ports required by BES are open for both directions of traffic.

I am not using the enterprise software, I am just forwarding from someone's email box. I have created a zone file on my internal DNS server for blackberry.net and have populated it appropriately, and now they blackberrys receive email just fine. What gives? I didnt have this issue with my checkpoint firewall(or is it coincidence?). Is there something I need to change on the PIX, is there an issue with outgoing DNS requests???
