I've had a PIX 515E OS 6.3(3)working very happily for a few years now, so I know the syntax of the commands iim using is correct, unless i've made typo's with ip addresses.
We have just changed ISP's and have also relocated the PIX to a co-lo centre. In the mean time I have rented another PIX to stand in whilst configuration occurs on the "old" ISP.
Essentially, I have updated the inside address to reflect the new co-lo subnet and all the public addressing.
Problem
When I try to test an 3389 connection using a new public address, to a server which I know responds to RDP requests, the Remote Desktop Window fails to connect.
Log onto the PIX, enter sh xlate
Global global_ip_address Local local_ip_address
The connection is obviously hitting the PIX.
Can ping local_ip_address from pix, no problem.
Any ideas why this wouldn't work?
