We can not access our internal web server from inside our network... there is no problem accessing the web server from an outside network.

I've read the previous post about this problem, but when I put in the alias I get the following error.

Thanks
Joe B.

pixfirewall(config)# alias (inside) 10.1.1.6 216.123.228.198 255.255.255.240

Try adding the command as....

pixfirewall(config)# alias (inside) 10.1.1.6 216.123.228.198 255.255.255.255

I think your subnet mask was wrong as you are only specifying one host. With the mask 255.255.255.240 the pix thinks you are trying to create an alias for the entire subnet??
