PIX 515 DB9 to RJ45

Got a good deal on a couple of Cisco PIX 515 UR BUNs. Know nothing about them. They came with nothing but the units themselves. I need to find out info about them (RAM,Version,Flash Memory,etc.).

I bought two female DB9 to RJ45 connectors. (Since none came with them) These connectors need to have the wires matched to the pins.

1)Anyone know how to wire them properly?

2)What are the settings to use for hyperterminal (ie. 2400,8-n-1, Xoff/Xon). Thank you.

The DB9 has two rows of wires that need to be put in the pin holes 1-9 (8 wires)

Top (where tab would be inserted)
Blue, Black, Green, Brown

Bottom
Orange, Red, Yellow, White

(** represents the wires that attach to 9 pins)

I'm not sure if the blue is pin 1 or not - I can test to find out. So how do the pins connect up?

The console serial cable must be a null modem cable. The pin outs are as follows:

J1 (DB-9) Pins

Set your HyperTerminal settings to N81, no flow control, 9600 baud. Make sure that your version of HyperTerminal can transmit the break key sequence (NT4 HyperTerminal is / was broken).
