Hi all,
Having a slight problem, trying to get a VPN sight up and running using a Pix 506 on the remote sight point to a pix 515 on the main side.

Went to the DSL providor and wanted 5 public static IP numbers, they only gave me one public static IP number.
It looks like the IDSL router they gave me is acting as some kind of Firewall with a range of 10.0.1.1-254 to use for internal numbers, which I do not think will work with the setup I am using.
Not a firewall expert so any help would be greatly apprecieated.

Thanks

HI.

You are correct.
The VPN will probably not work.

The best solution is to have registered ip addresses on the pix outside.

A temporary workaround can be to install VPN client 3.x on a remote workstation and to configure the PIX 515 at the main office to accept VPN clients. The VPN client has an option to work through NAT by encapsulation packets in UDP or something like that.

Bye
