I am considering buying a pix 501 firewall. Does anyone know if you can do port forwarding & or set up a dmz with this unit. Basic use would be for small home network with web server in DMZ. Is this a good choice?

Port forwarding yes, but no DMZ. For a DMZ you would need another interface. However, for a small home office the PIX 501 would be overkill and would work fine for you.
