PIX 501 - How to view outbound connections? 1

In one of my smaller remote offices, we have installed a PIX 501 with a 10 User license. The office itself has approximately 15 workstations, but only 10 will have access to the Internet.

At the moment, we can get 8 of the 10 workstations to browse the Internet without any issues. The last two will not. Since each workstation is configured with the same general TCPIP config (except for unique IP Addresses) my concern is that multiple workstations that ARE NOT supposed to be accessing the Internet are taking the needed connections.

How do I view who or what is connected through my PIX 501?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Problem solved!!! I did as suggested and opened a case with Cisco. They sent me the latest IOS code, PIX621.BIN. I was able to update the PIX without incident.

After that... All ten of the Users were able to gain access to the Internet.

Thank you for your support!!!

Good Luck!

Does the 6.21 code not need to have 32MB RAM?

The PIX 501 only ships with 16MB...

Hardware: PIX-501, 16 MB RAM, CPU Am5x86 133 MHz
Flash E28F640J3 @ 0x3000000, 8MB
BIOS Flash E28F640J3 @ 0xfffd8000, 128KB

I've been hesitant to install 6.21 for that reason.

Thanks.

Stakano,

v6.2.1 works fine on a 501, 506, 506E, 515, 515E, 525, and 535.
