I have a new wireless router that includes switch ports for wired users. I want to put a PIX 501 firewall between the router and the wired users so that wireless users will not have access to wired computers. Things are set up like this: Cable modem is connected to wireless router WAN port. Wireless router LAN port is connected to PIX WAN port. PIX LAN ports are connected to wired computers. I disabled NAT on the PIX and put a static route in the wireless router to tell it to use the PIX WAN interface as the gateway to the wired computers.

The result is that I can browse to the wireless router from my wired computer and pull up the configuration web pages, but I can't browse to Internet sites. Any clues? Thanks.

Almost forgot -- my config:

chances are that the wireless router will not NAT your traffic behind the PIX. configure the PIX to NAT your wired traffic to 172.20.0.2 and try again.

I put in a default route and it still didn't work. I reviewed the facts and could not figure out where I went wrong, so decided to swap out the wireless router and put in a wired router. Then everything worked fine. Concluding that the wireless router was not working right, I tried to access the configuration and it died. Got a replacement on order.
