Does anyone know how to programically fill in a category dropdown list?

I can capture what's in there but not add to it.

Am I really the only one to ever try to program a PivotChart?

Code:
pivottables(1).pivotitems(1).add NewValue
or whatever index or fieldname.

First- I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your answers. Whenever I see you responded, I read what you say. I have learned alot from you.

second- I am using a pivotchart based on a table.
I have multiple pivotcharts. When someone changes a selection in the series dropdown, I want the other charts to reflect the same change. Is there any example code out there to get me started? I've looked at many books but there is little VBA help out there that I can find.
I am hoping you can point me in the right direction or give me some advise.
