Hi

I recently upgraded to access 2002 from access 97 I am not an advanced user but slowly learning. I have 2 problems

1) In access 97 I had created some forms using pivot tables which used Excel to analyse the data. This was all automated and allowed me to create charts in excel, calculations etc and save the file in Excel. With access 2002 it uses a pivot function which is built into access and seems much slower and less user friendly. How do I analyse the data in Excel, there is a button to analyse in excel but when I go to save it saves the file as an external file to access

2) When I do try to create a pivot table in access all the function on the pivot table menu are greyed out and I can not do very much with the data e.g try to export it to Excel Any idea why

Thanks

Paul
