ok, i consider myself farily productive and efficient with excel, i have heard of pivot tables, but have never really gotten into them. a friend the other day said i should look into them and people would be amazed that at what i could do with a pivot table. i have looked at the help files in excel, but what i am looking for is what you can do, some examples, what they are good for and any advantages of using them.

any comments are welcome.

Thank you,
