Hi there,

I'm an Access Developer, and have two reports that are based on dynamically created SQL statements, dependent on what criteria the user specifies.

So I have a query which groups data and performs some calculations, and displays the results to me in pivot table format. I then use this query as the source for a chart in my report.

If I can't get this all to work in an Access Project then I'm goign to go the other route of exporting to Excel and creating the chart through VBA! Someone please stop me from doing this! ;0)

Thanks in advance,
Leanne

I think you can create form using a group by query, then set the view type as pivot table or chart for this form, so you are sure can do this in access.

Provide an example of the data you want to pivot on and the number of columns in the query. What values in input the will be columns in the output. Some sample rows of the input and a sample row of the output.

That's great. I created a basic one and added a few more fields to the query. I did have a hard time adding new fields in the columns section. It's much easier in Excel. Do you know if this is possible or if you're pretty much stuck with the display of the form after you initially create it?

Thanks,

ps
