Pivot tables

Is there any way to switch off the totals? Better still I'd like to be able average values. The pivot table shows 3 years worth of data.

I'd like to be able to display other data too alongside the pivot table but I cant find a way to do that either.

I can do all this in Excel but I'd like to keep within one application.

They are really lacking and I hope MS will give them a good going over. Just a remark....
