Pivot Table - show sum and percentage of same field side by side? 1

That's it in a nutshell - I have a table where I want to show the sums of a list of items, but also show the percentage each of these items makes of the total.

Now, I can achieve this simply by dragging the 'value' field into the data area twice - formatting one as 'sum' and one as 'percentage of column'.... but the pivot table then places the two values under each other, eg:

Item 1 sumvalue 150
%value 2%
Item 2 sumvalue 300
%value 4%

. Fine, as far as it goes - the numbers are all there and correct, but they're darned annoying to read that way with along list of items. All I want is to be able to lay these two lists of values out side by side - ie, as two separate columns instead of as they are above.

Lil help??

Please?

When you drag it in twice you will see both sets of values under a grey button marked 'Data'. Just drag that into the column fields area.

Hi Skip - somehow (no idea how) I did my back in about a week ago, so when I finally make it home from work, I'm pretty much wedded to this damn couch, and hence my laptop also. Dosed up on painkillers and just hoping it will get better real soon, as I'm extremely fed up with it at the moment.

Given the garbage that seems to be on the telly (Big Brother or Celebrity love Island), this laptop is my only link to a sane world at the moment, so i'm trawling through posts on here, doing a bit in the MS groups, and also trawling various photography sites at the moment (Getting into that a bit more at the moment) - What do you think of the piccies:-

Your images are now part of the Digital Picture of Britain gallery. You can view them by clicking these links:

Here's hoping that you're feeling better soon and can get bacK in the swing of things.

Thanx for sharing the pix. I am impressed! My lovely wife especially loves the last two shots with the purple flowers. How long have you been taking closeups like this?

Can I have your permission to print these two?

My favourites too :)

Help yourself, but I'll send you the proper files if you like, though circa 1MB jpgs each - Much better resolution though, and will print far better.

Email me at my ntlworld addy from whichever account you prefer and I'll send them back.

Had the camera about a year and a half now, and took those last summer. Gives some great macro shots in Super Fine Macro mode. Camera is an Olympus C-750Z, though I really quite fancy the new Olympus C-7070 7MP Widezoom, or if I make the jump to D-SLR it will be the Canon EOS 350D :)
