I need some help to figure out a unique problem i have never seen before, i hope someone has seen this problem.I have a data base that has a pivot table as a start up.This database is on our network and can be access by anyone. The problem i am having is only with one machine on our network which tells me the problem is on the local machine but i have been unable to fix the problem. The problem is when the database is opened, the pivot table loads and then it displays n error message. The message states

"The query could not be processed: o The operation requested failed due to security problems-unknown error Enumerate Security Packages"

Only pivot tables will not run, every other access feature will.

Thanks

I do not think your problem is with the pivot table.

Couple of things to try.

Your pivot table is based on a query - yes??

Work with the query and see what part of the query is causing the problem.

Second, the "security problem" is odd.

Is the database on a network? And is the problem with the user account -- login as another user where the database works properly and see if the error goes away. Look at other things too -- available space on the desktop, TEMP files. If on an NT platform (NT, 2000, XP), where are the TEMP files for the report being written too, and does the user have access?

If the database is not on the network, running the database compact / repair may help. (Always good to run this procedure regardless.)
