Hello, hello!
I have a bunch of projects with multiple deadlines due each month. I want to display a chart to show what bottlenecks I may run into each week or month. I know I have to create the data in columns first but because i want the graph to group everything by month how do i need to enter the date in? 3/30/07 or april 30 2007? Do i make any sense?

Hi,

First understand Date/Time in MS Excel

Why do Dates and Times seem to be so much trouble? faq68-5827.

You're only referring to a FORMAT. Its up to you. Depending on the type of CATEGORY axis (Time Scale or Category) in Chart Options - Axis tab, you can format the axis different than the source data if the axis is Time Scale, but not if you choose Category.
