Hello,

I am using KEA! (X-Client) to connect to AIX-CDE. Since several days it's impossible to type characters that are accessible via the AltGr-key like |, @, etc.

So far i've checked the keyboard/key defnitions of the server and of the client, but the "bar" seems to be configured correctly on both systems. Restarting X/DT didn't change anything.

I don't know what had been changed, because some days ago everything worked perfectly.

Best regards,

schwabi

hi,
I belive the problem may stay in Language (then the keyboard map) mismatching, or however changed in last days, between client, server, or some parameters that sets client language at server session.
Check by echo $LANG at console, in a dtterm and normal terminal in remote session, and see setings in your client (Regional Options if Windows).
bye

So strange!!!

Have you checked the .profile and the environment files?

Maybe something is changing the keys there?!?

Khalid
