I have the next computer config:
-MB: MSI K8TNeo2F (Socket 939)
-Proc. AMD 64 3000+
-1 Gb RAM Geil DDR PC3200
-Videocard: ATI Radeon 7200 VIVO (64 MB DRAM)
-HDD: Maxtor 200Gb SATA
-DVDRW LG GSA4163B
-TV Tunner: Pinnacle Pro (Conexant Fusion 878A Chipset)
MB drivers: VIA4in1455_73
MB BIOS ver: AMI® BIOS v3.3 (latest version)
Realtek ALC Series AC'97 Audio Drivers (latest drivers on site)
Pinnacle TV Tunner driver ver: DriverVer=04/11/2003, 1.0.2.35
Windows XP SP2
Directx 9c
The problem:
Tv tunner doesn't work. It displays a frozen image (frame) from the selected TV program.
Message from PCTV Assistant v5.50 (Pinnacle's testing program):

Device test
The device test failed. Probably no interrupt was assigned to the PCTV, or the interrupt in question is being used by another hardware device.
Please use the Device Manager to review the configuration of your system and resolve this conflict.

The interrupt (in this case: 18) is fully assigned to the TV tunner and the OS' system information utility shows no conflicts or sharing with other devices.
I alternate the position of the TV tunner card for each PCI slot. Consequently, the interrupt assigned to the TV tunner card changed, fully assigned to the TV tunner, but it was for nothing.
I also tried with the drivers from mobo CD... but no succes.
I also looked on MSI forum about similar resolved problem... but no luck.
I would like a suggestion, or a resolution to this problem, without beeing forced to change the MB (because it is an excellent one).

Yes, I tried on Pinnacle Forum... but no succes. I'm waiting for a good advice to solve this problem.

I have an older version of that MSI mobo, the NEO2, with the 865 chipset, and i love mine too!
The only thing i can say is that perhaps you should start all over. Dont know if you can use system restore, but if so, i would take the hardware out, do a system restore or uninstall all the drivers and whatever else was added in, and start all over. If the same problem exists then just try and move the device to another interrupt, even though its by itself and windows says its not, move it to another one anyway. In fact, you could even try that first.
Good luck. Its a real pain when these things dont work like they are supposed to. Often its one small thing you wouldnt think of.
I cant think of any bios setting offhand, and i am sure you installed the cable tight onto the tv device. Is it a pci device or usb? If its usb they maybe there might even be a usb setting in the bios that needs attention.
This may sound weird, but also try without the sound connector plugged into the tv tuner, its just a thought. I know you wont have sound but maybe, somehow, it is affecting the picture as well, not too likely though.
Just trying to come up with as many things as possible to check on.
Im big on tv tuners and have had about 5 of them, guess i got real lucky as i havent ever had any problems.
I hope you have better luck with this!
