Hello,

I have created a VPN connection between 2 Win2K Pro stations ( no Win2K Server so no WINS ! )

VPN Starts as it should and both Win2K stations can browse each other.

Problem starts here : on the Server station ( 192.168.0.1 & 192.168.0.51 ), there is a LAN with several other stations under Win98 ( from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.9 ).

These machines cannot access the VPN Client using My Network Places ( 192.168.0.51 ) though they can ping it...

Unfortunately, we HAVE to be able to reach this location.

Any info that I could use ?

Regards,

Paul

you need to have two PPTP tunnels, one goes one way and one goes the other. then all machines can see all machines on both ends of the tunnel. I am assuming your tunnel is PPTP.

If they can ping why not just use the UNC path? \\computername\share... Matt Wray

That is a name resolution problem. Build a hosts file if your broadcasts are not passing through the VPN.

i just experienced the same issues and resolved it by adding netbeui to both client and server. after a reboot, i could see the hood and access resources. if there is a better solution to this problem, please post it.
