Ping snoop on passport

I am troubleshooting a strange routing issue on our Passport 8600 and I have enabled ping-snoop on it per Nortel's instructions. The problem is when I start a continuous ping from the appropriate network I do not see any output on the Passport regarding what ports the traffic is being sent out of. I am connected to the console port of the passport from my laptop. All Nortel is telling me is that it "should" work and not why is doesn't.

I then initiate a ping from 10.206.75.67 to the 192.168.2.0 network.

This is a wag.Instead of the console port,plug into a tx port and telnet into the unit.

I have tried telnetting into it from my desktop or do you mean using the actual management ethernet port on the unit itself?

Not the management port on the cpu,but a port on your tx blade(if I understood the post correctly).
