Ping program

I want to organize twenty-four-hour local network monitoring. Could you tell me about such program? The program has to ping hosts and save results in files on hard drive for viewing.
 
Create a little batch file that contains:
cd somedirectory
ping ip-address > filename
ping ip-address2 >> filename

Repeat line 2 as many times as needed. . .

Run this however often is desired.

Keep in mind that more and more servers are configured so they will not respond to a ping.
 
WUG blows, Try Intermapper. Live results. Hugely Customizable and a very big user community. I have moved 6 companies for WUG to intermapper. No regrets from any. Biggest is a 50k node network.
