Ping problem

Hello,

We have to integrate a company (Domain-New.com) in our domain (DOMAIN.com).
Defined the external trust.
Now the problem is:
I can ping "server.DOMAIN.com" but not "server".
Or server-new.domain-new.com but not "server-new"

What could be the problem ?

How do your DNS A records look? Have you double checked your DHCP settings as well?

You have to setup domain-new as a forward lookup zone in your DNS.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

either that or add a DNS suffix for domain-new.com in your search list.

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)
