I have installed a Medpro board to a Prologix (rev.8.4) that has a CLAN installed and is enabled for H.323 trunks. Problem is that I have no link lights. My next option is to check that I have the correct Amp (harmonica) interface TN356a, to RJ45 and it is wired out correctly.

I am also unable to ping the Medpro board from the CLAN, so I may have more than one problem here.
Regards,

FS

The Medpro does not use the harmonica TN356a connector. it has its own special connector which is just a little larger than an amphonal connector. It also only connects at 100 Mb. I will post the part number tommorow when I get to the office.

The connector the Medpro uses is amphonal to RJ45, it should come with the Medpro board.

Thank you,

Thanks Guys. The problem is that I have an Amphonal to RJ45 connector that I think is correct but I get no link lights. Also, I wanted to make up some others to send to other sites. It is for these reasons that I wanted to confirm which Amphonal pins are wired to which RJ45 pins.

Its standard for all Avaya Lan cards (as per my understanding)..And connection sused are...

Thanks for the thread guys as I'm in the process of hooking mine up and had the same questions.

The following is distilled from pgs. 24&25 of an Avaya, May 2003, Job Aid titled "Connector and Cable Diagrams (Pinout Charts)" that I came across:

This last one looks like where Telemaniac came up with his pinouts but notice that it is for a TN2312AP IP Server, and is different for the TN2302AP and some others. Hope this helps someone out.
I have not verified this info yet but I will confirm if it works for my TN2302AP tomorrow.

ok everyone, let me say this. That black adapter for the IP Med Pro board is CAT5 rated. That same black connector that has a serial connector on the top can be used for C-LANs too. But if you are using it for any Definity release before r10, it won't matter because anything before r10 isn't set up for 100Mbps, only 10Mbps.

The standard adapter for C-LANs and IP Media Proc for pre-release 10 is the.........259A adapter. It looks like a gray 25 pair amphenol cable connector.

I have 2 or 3 laying around if anyone needs them. USA shipped only.
