Hi,
Ill make this a quick as possible, With PIM-DM, the router records the (S,G) source group address for each source, i.e
10.10.10.10 230.0.0.1
PIM-SM just records the group (*,G )
* 230.0.0.1
Multicast performs a RPC ( reverse Path check ) on every Multicast packet received, so Im PIM-SM if I have a router with 4 Interfaces, and on two of the interfaces I have two sources for group 230.0.0.1, will PIM-SM handle this????
