Hi:

I trying to make a base test in chat taskserver implemetation in IPOCC 9.1 with Openfire in the same IPOcc Server. The Topic is correctly registered in the XMPP Server, and the "customer" user too in pidgin app. I can make a broadcast test inside Operfire and the Agent can see the message in the Chat environment, but I cannot send any message from pidgin because the topic1 is missing.

When I select "see offline users" I can see topic reading "Not Authorized". I read and re-read the Task Based documentation and change a lot of things in the configuration but its the same always. (The only thing the differs from my instalation is that the DNS name in the ipconfig/all is not shown, but I can ping to the FQDN and the DNS resolves it).

The webChat Java example doesn't work too, but I suppose that if I cannot see the Topic in the pidgin client the webchat is out of discussion for now.

Someone had this issue?

Thanks!

Does the Chat Taskserver log say anything?

The documentation says that I will see the Topic automatically and Online, but for me was necessary to add the "Topic Buddy" in pidgin and now all is working fine. But I'm not sure if this is normal. I try to use WebChat and I have no response from the ChatTask Server.

The TTrace looks like this when I using pidgin client(customer user):

L5679a 12:17:37.090 CHATS_IM_Info XMPPClient.chatCreated():> new chat on topic1@domain.com/CIE@ipocc initiated by customer@domain.com/1zqdputobh
L5680a 12:17:37.090 CHATS_IM_Warning XMPPConversation.stateChanged():> currently no listener available on customer@domain.com/1zqdputobh
L5690a 12:17:41.874 CHATS_IM_Warning XMPPConversation.stateChanged():> currently no listener available on customer@domain.com/1zqdputobh
L5691a 12:17:41.875 CHATS_Core_Info TopicEPOnNewConversation():> Task created: [Task (f369305845001300)]

And I can chat with the Agent and see the Chat Script actions (WebChat UP, Proxy UP).

The WebChat open in a Web Page and I can write message but the agent cannot see anything.

You should see something in the WebChatDialog log, you'll need to configure it before it works if I remember correctly.

I haven't used it that much since in a real world implementation you'll end up building a customer adapted interface anyway.
