...We have two PictureTel Venue 2000 systems and one of them is having trouble dialing out on most calls and receiving all calls. The only time we have been able to dial out successfully is when we dial into the Polycom test unit in Sydney, Australia. If we try to make a local call into the other Venue 2000 on site, no luck. Same for other field offices. SBC told us that it might be a problem with the port for ISDN Line 1 in the Lucent Multiband VSX because when we swapped Line 1 with Line 4 at the jacks, they could not see line 4, either, in the VSX port for ISDN Line 1. If this is a problem with this port, do we need to go to Polycom for hardware repairs since they recently bought out PictureTel? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It may be a bad mux, but before you spend the money try dialing another carriers PIC code 1010288 is ATT and 1010222 is Sprint. Just insert this in front of you local number. It doesn't make sense that you can connect internationally but not locally. If you do need repairs, there are a few repair companies for PictureTels and Polycoms. comes to mind. You may be able to find one locally.
