I have been creating a web site for a small company that makes starter motors. Well I have been taking my own pictures and using those as my images. While reading one of the posts in here some suggested to someone that he,the person asking the question, search using the image search on google. After looking around on the search I see this happens a lot. How common is this? What are the legalities of it? I don't want to get all my images from the web but a few that I would not be able to create would be nice. Just wanted to see how every one else goes about it.

I use freeware images, and I know alot of fellow web designers do the same. As long as the image is available free for private and commercial use, then you are not restrained by copywrite issues.
In practice, if you are showing a picture of an item you are leaglly entitled to sell then the whole trademark and copywrite issue isn't usualy a problem as long as you acknowledge who owns the trademark and copywrite on the item. If in doubt ask, and if the reply is no, then use something else.

Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..
