pictures within e-mail not being displayed

hi all

got a weird one

i keep receiving e-mails from external people that contain pictures but when you open the mail all you see is a red box with a red x in the top right

but if they send it to my private e-mail account i access using outlook it displays the pics ok

when you try to copy the pics from the e-mail you get an error message saying "cannot save bitmap to disk"

is there something i need to change in the domino config?

Do you use a proxy server? If so, you may need to put the IP address and port in your location document (Basics tab, Proxy: field).

no we don't use a proxy server

i think i've found the reason....

the problem seems to be if you send an e-mail from outlook and the format is plain text and it should be rich text html

it appears not to display embedded images sometimes
