I have an Access 97 database that stores pictures of people. The table is setup with the picture field defined as an OLE Object which links to the actual picture file, for example c:\xyz\abc.jpg

When I start loading up the database with pictures, it starts to increase in size far beyond the picture sizes. For example, I will add 12 pictures, each about 70KB, and the MDB file will grow from 1.5MB to 10MB!

Anyone know why this happens, and how to store pictures more efficiently?

Thanks,

Dan
