Picture size is different in Quark 3 and Quark 4

I print from Quark 4. I get one of the docs I print from someone who uses Quark 3, so I open the Quark 3 doc in Quark 4. The document has a picture box with a picture (a jpeg) in it that changes every week. When I print the doc, the picture prints out too small, although the preview looks ok. I can resolve the problem by updating the picture and then doing a force-fit (shift+option+command+F).
By experimenting, I found that if I open the doc in Quark 3 and view the picture at 100%, it appears a different size than if I do the same in Quark 4. If I do a force-fit to the box, it is 16.1% in Quark 3, and 44.6% in Quark 4. It's almost as though the two Quarks are "seeing" the exact same image file as being two different resolutions. Can anyone explain this? I have a workaround, but the fewer of those the better (especially if I want to have peace of mind on vacation).

Seem to remember this is down to the fact that the JPEG file have not been saved with 'Maximum Quility' when being saved. Resave it with the Picture Quility set to Maximum 12.

If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

Thanks for the suggestions. This week three variables changed (not my doing) and the problem didn't happen.
1. The document was created from a different master document.
2. The picture was a tiff instead of a jpeg.
3. The picture was saved with a lo-res preview as opposed to previously when it had a hi-res preview.
I am betting on number three as the culprit since that is the one that coincides with both the start of the issue and its disappearance. The department that creates the document moved to InDesign which allowed them to uae hi-res previews on images and that is when the issue appeared. I will let you know if I nail down the exact cause. Thanks again.

I remember an issue with very large images. i.e. those with large physical dimensions and a low ppi.
From memory it affected TIFF files but it might be worth resaving your images with a much higher ppi and consequently a lower width and height measurement.
