Pickup Groups

Hi,

I have configured multiple pickup groups on a 3300 running release 6.1.x.x Sometimes call pickup works, using *6 and sometimes it doesn't. The pickup groups range from small to big but no more than about 30-40 extension in a group.

I remember reading an article about a problem with pickup groups larger than 20 users. Is this still the case or was it ever the case...

I double checked all COS options to allow group pickup etc etc Any ideas??

Two instances I can think of where call pickup might fail or give the appearance of not working.

1. The most common of these is glare. In a multi-member call pickup group only 1 person can pickup the call and anyone else attempting at the same time will get reorder tone.

2. The caller simply hung up before anyone could pickup the call.

The test of scenario 1 and 2 above is if the call continues to ring after the failed call pickup attempt. If it continues to ring then there's other problems.

I do not know of any known problems in the 3300 with call pickup.
