It's been a long time for one of these for me. Opt 11c Rel 24.24. Have 5 phones m2008. One of the five wants the rest to be able to pick her Key 0 up.
I have set all phones up in:
RNPG 1
Turned on PUA,GPUA
I do not want to put a key on the phones. Is there a way for them to dial spree code and then enter the number of the set to be answered?
Am I missing anything?

print in LD 57 look for the PUGR flex feature code.

I think that is already built. Do you know what load prints what FFC codes are built?

LD 57

Thanks, did not try CODE ALL.
PUGR is not built.
However PUDN is built as *3
Can you tell me the difference?

From NTP
"DN Pickup allows pickup of a call ringing on a specified DN. If a DN is not
assigned to any group, it defaults to Group Zero (0). This prevents any other
group from picking up that DN.
Both GPU and DPU can be activated using programmable keys or Special
Prefix (SPRE) code dialing. Each pickup method can be assigned to a
telephone independent of the others.
The dialed digits (DN or group number) are displayed on the Digit Display as
dialed. Like the Call Pickup feature, the lamp is optional for the Call Pickup
and Group Call Pickup keys. No second dial tone is given after the key is
pressed, nor is it given after the SPRE code is dialed."

For PUDN to work it looks like the phone need to have CLS DPUA as well.

So basically if you have PUDN spree code, you would dial *3 and the directory number that is ringing. If you build a spree code for PUGR, you would dial a spree code that would pick up any ringing line that was within that group. Make sense?

OK, so as I understand it. I have 1 person that wants 4 other people to be able to dial a spree code *3 and enter her number 6238 and answere her call.
From what I see here I only the following:
ld 57
PUDN *3
SET GPUA,PUA
SET RNPG OF ALL INVOLVED PHONES TO 1.
Am I missing anyhting? This is a remote sight and I am trying not to go there. Thanks for all of your help have a great weekend....

Your getting Spree code and Flexable feature codes confused.

You would have to dial your SPRE CODE + FFC
For example my SPRE is 8118
I would pick up and dial 8118 *3 to get the call.

You can find your spre code by going to LD 21 and PRT FTR You will see it about half way down.

OK, I have to get in on this cause I also have a question regarding Call Pickup. I have 3 users and they are part of RNGP 1. Call Pickup works fine, but the users can't hear if their phone is ringing or not across the room. Is there anyway to put an indicator of some sort on their phone letting them know there is a call coming in to one of the three phones.

If so, how?

Thank You

The easiest way is to put a SCN (non ringing) appearance of each phone on the one. This gives them the indication of a call to each extension, allows them to see if the user is on the phone and also allows them to pick up the DN directly if they want to, ie knowing that person is not there. It does burn up keys on the phone though, so it is not a perfect solution. Also does not allow them to see a second ext on the phone if they exist.

This is the original Pickup
CLS= PUA RNPG 1
Try 13 for call pickup
1 is SPRE
3 is pickup

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
